EPA Seeks To Boost PFAS Funds In FY23, Targets Gaps In DOD Oversight

EPA is seeking an estimated $126 million in fiscal year 2023 to address a range of issues related to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), a significant increase over the FY22 request with some of the additional funds slated for what EPA says are “critical gaps” in its ability to oversee the Defense Department’s (DOD) “surge” in PFAS cleanups.
