Former EPA officials are urging senators to reject the House-approved fiscal year 2018 funding bill for EPA which they say imposes cuts to “core” air, waste, water and other programs that are deeper than President Donald Trump is seeking, even though the House's overall funding for EPA is $1.7 billion more than the overall administration request.
