SBA Advocacy Signals Need For EPA Caution In Revising Trump Rules

An annual report from the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Office of Advocacy is signaling to EPA and other agencies that they must take steps to protect small businesses when issuing ambitious rulemakings to reverse Trump administration rollbacks. The July report evaluates federal agencies’ compliance with the Regulatory Flexibility Act (RFA) during fiscal year 2020, where the SBA’s advocacy office said its input resulted in reductions of regulatory burdens for small businesses leading to $2.259 billion in quantifiable cost savings.
