Senate Appropriators Boost Funding For DOD’s PFAS Cleanups In FY25

The Senate Defense Appropriations Committee has boosted funding for the Defense Department’s (DOD) PFAS cleanup activities beyond the Biden administration’s request for fiscal year 2025 just as the department faces billions of dollars in potential cleanup obligations at hundreds of bases where it used PFAS-containing firefighting foam.
