Senate Environment & Public Works Committee (EPW) chair James Inhofe (R-OK) says he is holding this week's hearing on climate change issues behind closed doors to limit partisan rhetoric on the issue, at the same time that he is using the hearing to assert his committee's jurisdiction on greenhouse gas issues.
