Washington State Asks EPA To Strengthen TSCA Rules For ‘Inadvertent’ PCBs

Washington state has filed a formal TSCA petition asking EPA to tighten limits on “inadvertent” polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in consumer products and eventually ban them altogether, claiming the current standards are far too lenient, create a “demonstrated threat” for vulnerable communities, and hamper attainment of water quality standards.
