Industry Turns To Congress To Bolster Stance On EPA Siloxanes Plan

Silicone manufacturers are calling on Congress to put pressure on EPA to back their narrow plan for monitoring certain siloxane chemicals in wastewater as the agency weighs whether the industry-proposed testing program will need to be vastly expanded in order to provide the data EPA needs to perform a risk assessment for the widely used substances. The manufacturers in the coming weeks will meet with lawmakers from both parties in an attempt to block EPA's efforts to seek testing programs...
