EPA DRAFTS RULE, LAUNCHES RESEARCH TO ADDRESS DRUGS IN WATER

EPA has completed a draft proposed rule intended to reduce barriers to pharmaceutical collection programs and limit the disposal of drugs in water, at the same time as the agency is ramping up its efforts to measure the levels and environmental and human health risks of pharmaceuticals in waterbodies and drinking water.
