Sierra Club Files First Suit Over EPA Permit Rejecting CCS As GHG Control

The Sierra Club is pursuing a first-time EPA Environmental Appeals Board (EAB) challenge to an agency-issued air permit for not mandating carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) as a greenhouse gas (GHG) control strategy, and if the suit succeeds and EAB remands the permit to EPA, it could force greater consideration of CCS in future permits.
