EPA Proposes Updated TSCA ‘Framework’ Rule For New-Chemical Reviews

EPA is proposing a long-awaited rule to update the “framework” for TSCA reviews of new chemicals to reflect Congress’ overhaul of the law in 2016, detailing a swath of new data requirements for industry submissions and barring exemptions from the full review process for PFAS as well as other persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic (PBT) chemicals.
