BADCAT SEEKS INNOVATIVE CLEANUP TECHNOLOGIES

A public-private partnership of organizations in the San Francisco Bay area, including the Navy, is seeking proposals for self-funded field demonstrations of cleanup technology in three areas deemed to be of high priority in the region. The treatment areas identified by the Bay Area Defense Conversion Action Team's Environmental Technology Partnership (BADCAT ETP) are: treatment of dense non-aqueous phase liquids (DNAPLs); enhanced bioremediation of groundwater underlying landfills; and in-situ treatment of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and pesticides within wetland areas.
