EPA is proposing to exclude another refrigerant in the per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) group of chemicals from the Clean Air Act’s list of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) subject to regulation, claiming the low-global warming potential substance does not pose health risks, in line with the air program’s narrow definition of PFAS.
