DESPITE NAS CRITICISM, FEW EXPECT MAJOR OMB RETREAT FROM RISK GUIDE

Despite the National Academy of Sciences' critique urging the White House Office of Management & Budget (OMB) to withdraw its controversial draft risk assessment bulletin, EPA, Capitol Hill, industry and environmentalist sources say they expect administration officials to apply provisions of the bulletin in reviewing EPA and other agencies' risk decisions.
