New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Erin Crotty urged the state's legislature to pass Gov. George Pataki's (R) controversial Superfund Reform legislation, which environmentalists claim weakens state cleanup standards and provisions forcing industry to pay for cleanups.
