The bipartisan group of lawmakers seeking strict limits on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) is backing legislation that would require EPA to take only some of the steps they have previously sought to regulate the chemicals under TSCA, leaving their push for a “phase-out” of their existing uses up to the agency’s discretion.
