CARPER TO CUT MERCURY TRADING FROM UPCOMING UTILITY EMISSIONS BILL

Sen. Thomas Carper (D-DE) will prohibit any emissions credit trading for utilities to meet strict mercury pollution limits in legislation he intends to reintroduce soon, which will also contain revised targets and timetables for mercury and other pollutants, according to a source in Carper's office.
