EPA CREATING TASK FORCE TO QUICKLY TRANSFER STIMULUS FUNDS TO STATES

EPA is working with states and other stakeholders to establish a "stimulus task force" to overcome the problem of having to disperse billions of dollars of new funding for EPA air, water and waste programs from the pending stimulus bill within 30 days of the legislation's enactment, far faster than the agency currently does.
