EPA Will Evaluate Risk In Air Toxics Rules, But Hedges On Formal Review

EPA air chief Joe Goffman is committing the agency to further considering health risks when updating air toxics rules but is again hedging on whether the agency will deploy a formal review of “residual” risks, or instead mitigate risks through Clean Air Act- mandated technology reviews, as officials prepare to likely tighten high-profile regulations.
