DOI rolls back Trump royalty rule, resetting fossil fuel rates

The Department of the Interior (DOI) is finalizing its proposal to withdraw a 2020 rule that eased both coal and oil and gas royalty requirements, the latest Biden administration effort to overturn Trump-era energy policy rollbacks that had sought to ease production of fossil fuels.
