California Bill Would Set GHG Goals For ‘Natural, Working, Urban’ Lands

Proposed legislation in California would set first-time statutory greenhouse gas sequestration targets for “natural, working and urban” lands by 2030 and 2035, and require the goals to be met only through “natural carbon removal” activities that prioritize addressing historic inequity.
