DOE Poised To Launch R&D Push To Decarbonize Gas With Hydrogen

Six Department of Energy (DOE) laboratories are poised to start a major new research and development (R&D) collaborative this summer focused on key issues regarding the blending of fossil-free “green” hydrogen in existing gas pipelines, an approach many utilities and manufacturers are eyeing as a way to lower the gas system’s carbon intensity.
