Environmental justice (EJ) advocates are pressing EPA to premise its planned greenhouse gas standards for existing gas power plants on deployment of battery storage facilities powered by non-emitting generation, while also urging the agency to bar states from implementing emissions-reduction technologies that could increase local co-pollutants.
