The Department of the Interior (DOI) is moving to implement “alternative arrangements” that could significantly shorten National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) reviews for fossil fuel, mineral, geothermal, biofuel and hydropower projects on public lands, based on President Donald Trump’s energy “emergency” declaration.
