Citing the lack of adequate destruction methods for disposing of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), environmentalists are eyeing several options to limit releases from current practices, including a mandatory federal storage system for firefighting foam containing PFAS, toughening disposal mandates in TSCA orders and other steps.
