EPA Urged To Include 'Indirect' Emissions In New GHG Registry

The World Resources Institute (WRI), a Washington, D.C., think tank, is urging EPA to require reporting of "indirect" greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions -- such as industrial electricity purchases -- in the mandatory GHG registry the agency is developing as a way to measure energy consumption for any future energy-efficiency program, according to a paper the group is planning to release soon.
