Senate agriculture committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) is seeking to increase funding for the Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) “climate-smart” programs to enable all farmers and foresters to reap the benefits of cutting greenhouse gas emissions, beyond a pending bipartisan bill to promote voluntary agricultural carbon markets.
